Alter Ego.

Kelda the Hippie!

We where given the task to work with a class mate and to create an alter ego for each other to photograph. Kelda's alter ego is a hippie, to display this she is wearing a tie-die tshirt and a flower headband.
The lighting set up for this photo is Loop Lighting, which was achieved by placing the soft box high above Kelda. Loop lighting creates a shadow along the nose and around the jaw line, I found that this is a very flattering style of lighting. This style of lighting also isn't to harsh on the subject and the light also catches in the eyes which is a nice effect. I have chosen this photo over closer cropped head shots because I feel that this conveys the alter ego of hippie because it shows more of the costume and it show's a laid back pose which also contributes to the over all feeling of the image.
